Seeing differently

I'm Nicola, the photographer behind 170 Degrees — a project born from a desire to slow down and notice what’s usually missed. I create images that explore quiet moments, soft light, and the beauty found at the edge of ordinary life.

The name 170 Degrees refers to the field of view just outside where we usually focus — the space where subtle details live, unnoticed but rich with story. It’s a reminder to look sideways, to reframe, and to find meaning in the in-between.

My work blends minimalism with emotion — simple compositions, honest textures, and natural light. I’m drawn to the overlooked: a shadow on a wall, a fogged window, the stillness before movement.
